Semi-custom products use a standard product as a basis. The changes made to the product are usually minor, but help our customers to integrate the final product easier during assembly.
The NRE-charge¹ is quite low and the delivery time of the semi-custom product is usually short.

 

Custom products can be through out the entire product range.
Most of our semi-custom products are LCD, but other popular items are LED, TFT and touchscreens. Our experience is not just limited to these products, we have done projects with embedded PC’s too.

When budgeting for a project, NRE must be considered in order to analyze if a new product will be profitable. Even though a company will pay for NRE on a project only once, NRE can be considerably high and the product will have to sell well enough to produce a return on the initial investment.
