TFT Industrial
Industrial type displays are targeted at applications that are used in tough and demanding environments. Rugged design, wide viewing angle, easy interfacing and touch integration are available on many products.
Of course wide temperature and high brightness are offered on standard or as customized solutions.
DataVision has added 3.5", 4.3" and 7.0" Wide Viewing Angle TFT products to its product line. Viewing angles of up to 80/80/80/80° ,its allowing the user to see the display contents from any angles when watching the monitor. Not only the viewing angle performance increased but also contrast ratio and color saturation.

Controller on board
Now two of DiBis TFT suppliers offer displays with integrated controller on board. Where DataVision is still at the beginning of their development and recently announced the introduction of a slim size 4.3 inch TFT with controller, TopWay Display previously already promoted two industrial standard type TFTs with controller, a 3.5 inch and a 5.7 inch.
The main advantage of the TopWay displays is that they are not the standard small package type, but a COB type. This makes it a lot easier for industrial users to mount the display and have more guarantee that the display will be available with the same outline dimensions for a long period of time.
Video interface on board
One of the suppliers that has integrated a video processor board on their small size TFTs, is Bolymin. Their range of TFT displays is from 3.5 inch to 12.1 inch.
FDT has standard solutions ranging from 3.5 inch to 15 inch. The panels are from famous brands like PVI and CMI. FDT is a module maker that adds value to these glass units by integrating additional interfacing or processor capacity.
These TFT displays are ready for direct video input like, PAL/NTSC and CVBS. This high level of integration will save money, space and assembly efforts.
Typical target applications are video door phones, parking equipment and non-destructive test systems.
