TOUCH Capacitive
Capacitive touchscreens are available in analog and digital type. Analog means that there is no fixed area appointed in the touchscreen (like a matrix), where as digital touch has a certain grid / array of touch arreas.
For all our touchscreens complete interface kits are available. It can be a controller as a component or a RS232/USB interface with cable set and software driver.
Standard capacitive
Capacitive touchscreens are an interactive interface comprised of a conductive-material-coated glass panel. Current is uniformed on the glass panel entirely. By touching a finger on the panel, current flows via the finger and the ratio of the current flow is computed in order to detect the touch location.
Due to a simple and robust design, capacitive touch suits applications in safe or harsh environments, such as ATM machines.
Projected capacitive
Projected Capacitive Touch (PCT) is based on the principle of embedding an array of micro-fine sensing wires within a multi-layer laminated screen behind a protective front surface, ensuring that the sensing medium is well-protected from accidental and malicious damage. This technology is extremely robust and reliable, offers one of the industry's highest light transmission characteristics and can be operated with a gloved or ungloved hand.
PCT has unlimited touch life, is drift-free and so requires minimal maintenance. The PCT-technolgy is currently employed in a wide range of touchscreen-based applications that require high-end solutions, such as public access information kiosks, jukeboxes, ATMs, gaming machines and medical and industrial applications.
